I updated the “classic” track from The Somnambulating Schematic of the Obstreperous in honour of our current election debacle.

Originally released in 2008 under the moniker A’damn, this was my first exploration into creating an album of pop music. Most people who knew me thought of me as an electronic music DJ, so when I released an album of grebo inspired alternative pop music, they were taken aback.

In some ways, the album is unfinished. I record it in Logic between 2003 and 2006, but after I upgraded computers, Logic no longer ran on my setup. I eventually bounced the stems and tracks down at a friend’s studio and considered the album finished.

The release of the album caused a bit of friction between myself and some friends and has since taken on a bit of a mythical status in some circles. At some point I might try remastering this, but that might also be effort. So…

Hello,
Last summer I released my second full length album of original music.
I have coined the genre “Nu-Grebo” as it is highly influenced by the great Grebo movement of the late 80s and early 90s.

The project is called Fried Kale (gratuitously borrowed from this very site) and the album is titled The Somnambulating Schematic of the Obstreperous.

The album was mastered by Amina at her Foxdye Studios
and artwork was designed by Erik Arteaga at his Arteaga Bodega

I wanted to freshen up this blog and breathe some new life into it.

Lately, my writings have been on paper or left unpublished, but I also have been writing music for many years and thought that I would bring the two together. 

I have a new album coming out this summer that I’ll post here and I’ll be posting my old album and some music written by old bandmates and friends as well.
